"The 15 year old gelding he is becoming quite stubborn"

Dear Keith...

Monday, December 18, 2006

Dear Sirs: I have bought two horses one that is approximatly 15 years old he is for my 10 year old doughter. The other one is for myself he is 4 years old. The 4year old one is doing real well he is learning to lunge good, of course he lunges to one way alot better than the other way. My question is the 15 year old gilding he is becoming quite stubbern. He refuses to lead any more, he will not lunge. When I try to get beside him with the lunge whip he puts himself in reverse and when he stops he reminds me of an old mule. How do I get him to stop this behavior? When we ride him he will only follow me when I am walkinh infront of him. He and the 4 year old are pasture buddies. He just reminds me ov an grumpy old man..... Thanks for your help Raymond K
