Dear Keith...

hello, my name is SarahJean- SJ
I have a new horse and i am having a hard time getting the horse to move away from me. He is 5 years old and a love yet my friends want me to try and train him for them. I want to get him to longe and he just pivots I have tried running him in an enclosed arena that is small and all he does in pivot and put his ears back. he is not afraid of me at all. i tried a longe whip and lead rope charging him and nothing works i have never ever seen this kind of behavior. he just stands there. I also tried longeing him next to my older horse and he still wont move unless i walk away and then he follows me!! i have tried different stuff for three days and i am really stressed and at a loss. my friend just lost her other horse and i thought that i would be able to help her with this one --- anyways please email me if you can help me and if not please can you let me know someone who can --- thank you so much, SJ |
