Dear Keith...

Hello;
I recently bought a horse at a sale. I rode her around for a while everything seemed to be alright.I got her home and started to ride her the next day. the stirrup didn't feel right I leaned over to adjust it the horse raered up hit me in the nose
with her head & neck. My friend was there on another horse and we went riding for a while , the horse continued to rear every now & then . I started to spin her in as tight a circle as I could . We rode for about 2 hours , when we started back home she did alright my friend said she seemed to be doing better. We got about 1/8 mile from the house & she reared again .
I have ridden her several times by herself & she seemed to be getting better , my girlfriend and I rode together , for awhile she seemed to be alright then she started it again each time i would spin her in a tight circle . We rode for about 1 more hour & came to a freind's house they had some children , I stopped & gave each of them a ride , as we were leaving she started leaving she started rearing again as I was spinning her in a tight circle she reared 3 times
I would like to see some shows on how to correct this. |

Suggested Article: "Good Now Bad Later"
Every time you teach an exercise, your horse will go through the same learning cycle. He'll go from "Bad" to "Good" to "Worse" to "Not So Bad" to "Learned." That's the typical cycle: Bad. Good. Worse. Not so bad. Learned.
