Horse Whisperer Monty Roberts

Monty Roberts, known as the "Man Who Listens to Horses," is an award-winning trainer of championship horses, best-selling author, Hollywood stunt man, foster dad to 47 children (and he has three of his own) and creator of the world-renowned and revolutionary equine training technique called Join~Up®. After observing thousand of horses, he has developed these methods which can be used on untrained and green horses - and even to improve older horses which have become set in their ways. He strives to use the natural language of horses to train without pain or fear. He continues to travel the world, preaching that communicating with horses and people without brutality or coercion is the most effective training technique.

Lyons Fact #729:
I don't ask the horse to stop. I just quit riding.

Lyons Fact #367:
The more you mess with the bit, the more you restrict movement.
